The Jackson
The Jackson is an eleven-story building located in the heart of Long Island City, New York. The exposed concrete pays tribute to the industrial past of the city.
The large concrete frames are juxtaposed with layers of wood and black metal slab covers. The window wall spans the full floor height and evokes and industrial character. - Chris Fogarty

In order to stand out from the surrounding glassy highrises, the architects decided to make the facade similar to a huge old industrial loft building with an exposed watertank on the roof. The exposed concrete and sweeping curtain walls create a crisp grid with an accent of wood panels that travel vertically. From inside the units, residents are gifted breathtaking panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.
