The Istanbul Merter

The MRTR Istanbul project has a 62,400 square-foot area and is located in one of the busiest districts in Istanbul, Merter, and designed by GAD Architecture. 

The project, which has sustainable design strategies such as natural ventilation, maximum use of daylight, and use of sunlight as an energy source, won the Green Good Design award organized by the European Center for Architecture & The Chicago Athenaeum. The award praises the best sustainable building projects in the world.

This high-rise building, designed for both residential, office, and retail space, utilizes Reynaers ConceptWall 86 system. CW 86 is a well-insulated curtain wall that complies with all requirements for large building projects. The energetic performance of the system is offered in different levels, providing thermally insulated aluminum profiles. Specific drainage methods like cascade drainage lift this façade to the highest demands in water- and airtightness. This makes this system applicable for extreme conditions like high altitudes.
