809 Broadway
Manhattan has gained a new avant-garde tower. What was once a 6-story structure has been renovated into this 15-story building. Designed by ODA Architecture, 809 Broadway is unique to the neighborhood with its black metal facade and floor to ceiling windows.
809 Broadway is located in Greenwich Village, a neighborhood on the west side of Manhattan, New York City. It is a quick walk away from Union Square station, making the commute easy for residents and employees.
Greenwich Village is full of classic style buildings; this historic neighborhood is known for being very eclectic and bohemian. 809 Broadway brings flare to the Village with its avant-garde architectural style. The new construction positively contrasts with the surroundings, creating an intensified effect on the architectures' designs.
This asymmetrical building has 10,000 sq. ft of glazing - utilizing Reynaers' CS 68 windows and doors and CW 50 curtain wall. These aluminum frames are powder coated in matt Jet Black.
The building was planned with the assumption that a highrise will be built on the north side. The mixed-use property features office space, apartments, a shopping center, and a private garden.
