Brick City House
This rectangular home is contrived around the interior courtyard. The other homes in the neighborhood feature brick bungalows, so the Brick City House complements the surroundings with its handmade brick. The interior uses our CP 155-LS to provide natural light and instant access to the courtyard which features a pool, fireplace, and lounge area.
The home is located in a Denver, Colorado neighborhood containing mostly older and smaller houses; however, the newer renovations in the area feature large, complex projects. The Brick City House's combination of glass, walnut, and handmade brick creates a simple and beautiful building that blends in with the urban form.

The house turns inwards with a connection to nature by focusing upwards on the sky. This concept is inspired by modern artists' exploration into the connection of the sky, earth, and proportion.

With little to view from inside the house, the "backyard' is actually in the middle of the building. The boxy home was built around the interior courtyard and pool. The glass sliding systems line the courtyard to deliver a continuous transition between the inside and outside. The open layout includes a master suite, living room, dining room, kitchen, and guest bedroom surrounding the courtyard.
